Example1: Archival/Historical Records Using Stream

The 6529 Network uses Stream to archive and manage historical records, ensuring transparency, easy access to information, and preservation of the network's history.

How It Works

1. Documentation of Key Governance Decisions

Purpose: Ensure all significant governance decisions are recorded.

Process:

  • Proposal Submission: Members submit governance proposals through Brain, where they are discussed and voted on within specific waves.

  • Recording Decisions: Once a decision is made, the details of the proposal, discussion, and voting results are documented.

  • Archival: These records are then uploaded to Stream for permanent archival. Each document is tagged and indexed for easy retrieval.

2. Archiving Project Milestones

Purpose: Maintain a comprehensive record of all major project milestones.

Process:

  • Milestone Tracking: Project teams use waves to discuss and document progress.

  • Documentation: Key milestones (e.g., project launches, significant updates, collaborations) are summarised and documented.

  • Archival: These summaries are uploaded to Stream, with metadata to link them to related projects and discussions.

3. Storing Historical Events

Purpose: Preserve the history of significant events within the network.

Process:

  • Event Logging: Important events (e.g., conferences, community gatherings, major announcements) are logged by event organisers.

  • Detailed Reports: Detailed reports, including agendas, attendee lists, and key outcomes, are prepared.

  • Archival: Reports and associated multimedia (photos, videos) are uploaded to Stream. Tags and categories are used to organise the content.

Example: Governance Decision Archival

Scenario: A New Feature Proposal

  1. Proposal Submission: A member submits a proposal for a new feature via Brain.

  2. Discussion and Voting: The proposal is discussed in a dedicated wave, with members voting on it.

  3. Decision Documentation: The final decision, including the proposal, discussion points, and voting results, is documented.

  4. Archival: The documented decision is uploaded to Stream, tagged with relevant metadata (e.g., proposal type, date, participants) for easy future access.

Benefits

  • Transparency: Ensures all governance decisions and significant milestones are openly accessible to all network members.

  • Accountability: Provides a clear record of decisions and actions taken, promoting accountability within the community.

  • Historical Reference: Serves as a valuable resource for understanding the network’s evolution and learning from past experiences.

This structured approach to archival and historical records using Stream ensures that the 6529 Network maintains a detailed and accessible history, supporting its goal of transparency and informed community participation.
